Deep into this past summer I spent three days immersed in Sikh wedding culture. I photographed the Sangeet ceremony, the Maiyan ceremony with the groom, and the longest wedding day I’ve yet encountered. It was such a pleasure to spend that amount of time with both families. This was a very emotional three days, especially for Kaur and her family, as she was moving out of the country immediately after the wedding. I’ve managed to narrow it down to a few favorites from over the course of the three days. Here they are, in roughly chronological order.
