It was a hot, humid Saturday this past July when I made my way up to the cottage Jenn and Lucas had rented for their wedding. Their friends and family were bunked either in the sprawling, cool basement sleeping quarters, or in “tent city” in the field next to the house. This was truly a friends and family wedding, with everything from the food to the fireworks and the music being provided by their friends. I was one of the only outsiders, but I didn’t feel like it for long – I was welcomed with open arms and fit right into the mix. I stayed late to document the entire experience, and spent the night after finally putting my camera down well into the wee hours of the morning. The small selection of favorite photos below span the time from just before breakfast to the campfire after 2am. I had a fantastic time, and I wish all the best to Jenn and Lucas and everyone I met that day!
Setting up the “wedding suite”.
This guy spent all day preparing dinner for the entire wedding which was absolutely delicious.
One of the bridesmaids cools off with a water fan.
Lucas anchors down the wedding suite.
Jenn enjoys a quick breakfast before getting ready.
The best private fireworks shows I’ve seen – one of the groomsmen was a pro.
