Jenn & Frankie at the Annandale Golf and Curling Club – Ajax Wedding

It’s high time some crispy favorites from this crispy October wedding of Jenn and Frankie at the Annandale Golf and Curling Club in Ajax. Frankie is in the Canadian Forces and was out of the country when I met with Jenn before the wedding, so I saw him for the first time on the morning of the wedding day. First in pajamas, then a suit, and then later a uniform.

This was a memorable wedding for me, and a few things stand out from the day. First was Jenn’s incredible enthusiasm. She loved having her picture taken, she was completely unfazed by chilly, slighly wet weather, and she was completely “in the moment” and enjoying everything all day. I wonder if brides like her have sore cheeks the next day from smiling so big and hard for 12 hours straight?

I’ll mention the other thing that I remember from this day: the crazy easygoing Annandale Golf club. Photographers take note: I’ve photographed weddings at other golf courses before and there are always *some* rules that have to be followed. Not so here, it seemed like anything goes. “Can we drive our VW bus out onto the course for some photos?” -No problem. “Can we do some photos on that hole that’s currently being played?” -Try not to get hit.

The transportation for the day was a cool VW bus. The best man had seen it driving around, followed it and flagged the driver down, and hired it for the day. Too cool.
